This policy explains what the Glana Partner app collects and why. Glana Partner is the app for the people who work at restaurants that use Glana — waiters, managers and accountants. It is published by “Glana” LLC (Yerevan, Armenia), the operator of the Glana platform.
This policy is only about the Glana Partner app. Guests who order or pay through Glana are covered by the separate Glana Privacy Policy.
1. Who this applies to
Anyone who signs in to Glana Partner: a waiter who creates an account in the app, or a manager or accountant who signs in with the credentials of their restaurant’s Glana dashboard. You must be at least 16 years old and employed by, or working with, a restaurant that uses Glana.
2. What we collect
Your account
- Name, email address and phone number — entered at sign-up, or received from Apple or Google when you use Sign in with Apple or Google (name and email only; we never see your Apple or Google password).
- Your role at the restaurant (waiter, manager, accountant) and the restaurant you belong to — set by the manager who adds you.
- For waiters: the name under which the restaurant’s point-of-sale system lists you, linked by your manager so that tips and ratings can be attributed to you.
Your phone
- An identifier created by the app for your installation, the device model, operating system version, app version and the app language.
- Push notification tokens issued by Apple or Google, so that orders, reservations and alerts can reach your phone.
- Whether the app has permission to show notifications, so that we can tell you when it does not.
Your work
- When you start and end a shift, which orders you take, hand over or mark as delivered, and when.
- For waiters: the tips and ratings guests leave on tables attributed to you. Ratings are shown to you as stars only; the guest’s written comment is not shown in the app.
- For managers: the actions you take in the app (approving a reservation, changing a setting, inviting a waiter), recorded in the restaurant’s activity log.
The app does not collect your location, contacts, photos (except a dish photo a manager chooses to upload to the menu), or anything from other apps. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
3. Why we use it
- To run the app: show you the orders, reservations, sales and team of your restaurant, according to your role.
- To notify you: new orders, reservations to approve, reviews, payouts and problems, by push notification, according to the notification settings you and your restaurant’s head manager choose.
- To attribute tips and ratings to the right waiter, and to let managers see who is on shift.
- To keep the app secure: sign-in, session and device records, and to tell you when a newer version is required.
- To support you when you contact us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Who can see it
- Your restaurant. The managers of the restaurant (or chain) you belong to see your name, contact details, shift status, the orders you handle, and — for waiters — your tips and ratings. This is the purpose of the app.
- Service providers that host and run Glana on our behalf: cloud hosting and database providers, Apple and Google (push notifications and sign-in), and email delivery. They process data only as needed to provide the service.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
5. Sign in with Apple and Google
When you use Sign in with Apple or Google, the provider sends us a signed token with your name and email address. We use it only to create or find your Glana Partner account. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email”, we receive the relay address Apple creates for you; your manager must then invite that address.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account, for as long as it exists. A waiter who leaves a restaurant keeps the account and can be added to another one; the account itself is deleted on request.
- Device records, until you sign out on that phone, or until the push token stops working.
- Shift, order and tip history, as part of the restaurant’s business records, for as long as the restaurant uses Glana and as required by accounting law.
7. Your rights
You can see and correct your name, phone number and language in the app. You can turn every notification kind on or off in the app, and turn notifications off entirely in your phone’s settings. You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Account → Delete account — see what is deleted and what the restaurants keep. To ask for a copy of your data, or to delete an account without the app, write to legal@glana.am from the email address of your account. Your rights under the personal data law of the Republic of Armenia apply in full.
8. Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new effective date, and the app tells you the next time you open it if the change matters to you.
